Hey Nation!

I just reached 25k words (one-fourth of my predicted total) in my writing process, so I thought I’d share a bit about the book I’m writing!

TW: Suicide and addictions

Anika (my main character) is a human on earth. Now, Anika didn’t have an easy childhood. When she was barely one, her mother died of complications and her father became an alcohol addict and used to take out his anger on Anika and her sister. At age fourteen, Anika’s sister killed herself, leaving Anika all alone. A few years later, Anika decides to run away at the also at the age of fourteen. Now, she’s been living on the streets for three years when, after getting into a near-death fight, a random girl comes to her rescue. She then follows the girl to her house where her wounds are tended too and then passes out. When she wakes up she finds herself in a Fae kingdom and her ‘dead’ sister standing in front of her. On top of all this shock, she accidentally stumbles upon a group of assassins that work against The Royal Fae Crown. And another of many problems to add to her ever growing list, the crown prince of this foreign kingdom has also found a keen interest in her…

Now, Anika has to weave her way through a world of kingdom politics, assassins, and hot males, while also trying to find out about her past.

Did I mention the romance? Because if not, you’re going to love this very flirty MMC. He is the perfect drool-worthy love interest that makes you want to kick your feet and giggle.
